Empowering your Financial Future
Empowering your Financial Future
Welcome to Scottie Financial Services. Founded in 2025, we were built on a simple, powerful realization: the most life-changing financial strategies shouldn’t be locked behind a "wealth barrier."
For too long, major financial firms and high-priced consultants have focused on those who already have a lot of money. At Scottie Financial Services, we focus on you—the individual, the student, and the small business owner looking to build a solid foundation without breaking the bank.
Our Philosophy: Education First
Money can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Our mission is to bridge the gap between "getting by" and "getting ahead" through affordable services and practical education.
We specialize in sharing the "missing curriculum"—the essential financial knowledge that many of us, including our founder, wish we had been taught during or immediately after high school.
Affordability: Our services are priced for real people, not corporations.
Experience: We bring over 20 years of hard-earned financial insights to the table.
Empowerment: We don’t just do the work; we teach you the "why" so you can take control.
Our Story
Scottie Financial Services is currently a one-member operation with a big vision. After two decades of navigating the complexities of the financial world, our founder decided it was time to give back. Throughout the years, he kept asking himself:
"Why was I not taught this when I was younger?"
"I am obligated to file taxes every year, why is it not taught in school?"
"Why aren't we preparing our children for financial success?"
We are a homegrown business looking to grow alongside our clients. We believe that by providing high-quality, accessible information, we can help our community avoid common pitfalls and build generational stability. We don't need to be another number in the system, we can grow financially together and pass down our success.
A Note on Transparency
At Scottie Financial Services, we value honesty above all else.
Important Disclosure: Scottie Financial Services is an educational and consulting resource. We are not licensed financial advisors, brokers, or tax professionals.

Meet Scott: The Founder of Scottie Financial Services
Scott’s career hasn't been a straight line through a corporate skyscraper; it’s been a journey through the heart of service, management, and the intricate world of government finance. This diverse background is exactly why Scottie Financial Services exists today—to provide "real-world" financial clarity for people who need it most.
Scott is currently studying for his Enrolled Agent exam. This licensing requires many hours of education in individual and business income tax, as well as compliance, policy, and regulations. Such a license is backed by the IRS through vigorous background checks, and is recognized in all 50 states.
From the Front House to the Back Office
Scott’s professional foundation was built in the fast-paced world of hospitality. From a cable/internet call center representative to an experienced server in Italian, American, and Japanese cuisines. Spending the majority of his career in the restaurant industry, he mastered the art of customer service—learning that at the end of the day, business is about helping people.
He transitioned into leadership as a Front of House Manager at Ted's Montana Grill, where he learned the operational side of a successful business. He then leveled up to Director of Payroll and Human Resources at CCM Services. He spent five years managing the "gears" of these companies. At CCM Services, Scott became an expert in the essential languages of small business:
Full-Charge Bookkeeping & Reconciliation
QuickBooks Proficiency
Payroll Administration
Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Market Strategy & Public Service
In a move to master the flow of capital, Scott spent a year as a Day Trader, navigating the volatility of the US stock market. This experience provided him with a deep, "in-the-trenches" understanding of market psychology and risk management—knowledge he now uses to help others understand how money moves in the real world.
Most recently, Scott spent two years with the Colorado Department of Revenue. Working from the main office as an in-person representative for the State’s taxation division, he earned a hybrid schedule. He went fully remote during his last year and became a specialist in one of the most complex areas of business: Colorado Sales Tax.
Analyzed and resolved complex taxpayer account discrepancies.
Managed taxpayer registrations and processed many other CDOR forms.
Specialized in sales tax accounting and distribution.
Acted as a primary resource for navigating intricate state tax policies and guidelines.
Why Scott Does What He Does
After almost 10 years of managing payroll, trading stocks, and resolving tax issues in the government, Scott realized that much of this information is intentionally gatekept. He saw firsthand how small businesses and individuals struggle simply because they weren't taught these "rules of the game" in school. They also don't have the capital to afford large firms that can complete complex financial tasks, worry free.
Scott combines his hospitality-driven service heart with technical tax and accounting expertise to provide affordable education to those who feel left behind by big financial firms.
"I spent two decades learning the things I wish I knew the day I graduated high school. Now, I’m making sure you don't have to wait 20 years to learn them too." — Scott
